About The Role
 

We’ve recently had some contract wins, so we’re looking to expand and as we do we have a great opportunity to join our Newcastle head office team as a Scheduling Manager.  This role focuses on planning, coaching and leading a team to ensure all KPI’s are achieved. This role will provide the perfect platform for you to gain hands-on experience during the exciting period of growth.


Reporting in to the Regional Scheduling Manager,  the successful candidate will lead a scheduling team to ensure that our metering engineer workloads are maximised & balanced to guarantee that our customer expectations are met. This role will also work closely with fellow scheduling Managers to share best practice and innovation to deliver the best national result.


A bit about you...


As a Scheduling Manager, you will need drive and determination to manage your team’s performance to ensure that targets are achieved, whilst ensuring the field force operate in a safe and secure environment. You’ll manage a team  of employees ensuring standards are adhered to and communicate with your team via a variety of methods including team briefs.


You’ll monitor, manage and evaluate performance across all job types to ensure quality of work and compliance are met. You’ll evaluate & analyse the performance of your area and report accordingly on a regular basis and implement process improvements when necessary. You’ll set and agree clear objectives within your team, paying close attention to the overall performance and address any inappropriate behaviour with support from HR.


What you will bring to the role...


  • Previous Team Leader/Manager Experience in a scheduling environment
  • A strong commitment to achieving successful outcomes, delivering results to the satisfaction of customers and to the standards required
  • Excellent Leadership & Coaching  Skills
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise. 
  • Good judgement and able to make good decisions in limited timescales.
  • Strong motivator and people manager
  • Team Player but capable of working on own initiative to fully understand the implications of changes and effective working methods
  • Good Decision Maker
  • Strong Communication, Influencing and Negotiating skills
  • Be flexible to work within the hours of 7:30am to 8pm Monday to Saturdays.
