About The Role

Role Outline

The Regional Lead Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of engineers, alongside carrying out the general Security Engineer duties. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and able to proactively manage a high level of organisation whilst working to tight timescales and managing priorities. The Regional Lead Engineer will work closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure KPIs for the area are met.

The role will also require the successful candidate to be part of a duty-manager on call rota.


Key Responsibilities

In addition to the standard Protect My Property Security Engineer duties:

  • Manage performance of individuals within the team via regular 1-2-1’s, team meetings and performance reviews when issues are identified
  • Monitor and manage attendance including authorising annual leave and absence management using the appropriate tools and documentation
  • Lead by example in promoting a positive working environment and creating a team environment through collaboration and cooperation
  • Drive Sales performance through sharing best practice and regularly monitoring performance.
  • Support Product Development projects and the introduction of new products and marketing initiatives to the field workforce
  • Ensure contribution to a Safe Working Culture throughout the team by monitoring performance and regularly reviewing individual performance
  • Providing the highest level of Customer Service in order to meet Customer Expectations by handling field based customer complaints
  • Carry out Field based Audits including, Work in Progress, Post Completion and Equipment and Vehicle inspections


The Ideal Candidate

  • Solid understanding of the Security Industry and our Customer Base
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Ability to develop a team atmosphere through hard work, calmness and consistency
  • Full Driving licence
  • Strong Customer focus
  • Ability to work unaccompanied, as well as experience leading a team
  • Ability to prioritise and be flexible
  • Capacity to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Knowledge of Intruder Alarm standards i.e. BS4737 EN50131, PD6662, DD243, BS8243
  • A wide range of Intruder Alarm Manufacturer experience
  • CCTV and Access knowledge is preferable
  • Sales, Specifying Surveying, Quotation Experience
