About The Role

As part of Morrison Energy Services, the SHEQ Frameworks Manager will be responsible for leading the SHEQ performance across a series of MES Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Electrical Framework Contracts covering projects across the UK.

 This role reports directly to the Contract Director and works closely with the Framework Management teams.

You will ensure a strategic and proactive approach to managing SHEQ performance ensuring compliance with relevant statutory, regulatory, Client, MES standards and specifications, whilst driving continual improvement. You will support ongoing relationships and frameworks with existing clients, and agreed strategic targets, in line with a defined SHEQ plan. 

As the SHEQ Manager your Key Duties and Responsibilities will be: 

  • Effective and visible leadership on all aspects of SHEQ
  • Build and maintain a skilled and sustainable SHEQ team to support programme assurance
  • Determine and ensure compliance against company, client and legislative requirements
  • Ongoing development and delivery of the Contract SHEQ Plan and the associated process to drive continual improvement 
  • Ensure alignment with client / MES vision and values and performance requirements 
  • Ensure SHEQ requirements meet MES and Client standards as a minimum
  • Work closely with all management levels in the team to effectively deliver SHEQ performance on all projects
  • Manage the monthly reporting process information, both internally and to clients
  • Monitor/review all relevant aspects of SHEQ standards
  • Present performance information at contract and client meetings as required
  • Proactively propose areas for ongoing improvement
  • Assist in the effective delivery of the competency process within each contract. This will include managing the implementation and delivery of the MES Mandatory Competency Framework , Contract requirements, and contract inductions
  • Implement and manage any Incident and Accident investigations including Root Cause Analysis Reports in a timely manner, in accordance with MES and client requirements
  • Support the delivery of the contracts in accordance with the MES wide National Electrical Registration Scheme (NERS)
  • Liaise and collaborate with MES Central SHEQ
  • Willingness to travel which may occasionally include overnight stay

Education/Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Construction / CMIOSH (or working towards)
  • Full UK driving license
  • CSCS Card or equivalent

  • Knowledge of the utilities and/or construction sector
