About the role

We are looking for a Commissioning Coordinator (office based) to provide technical support to our field-based teams. Reporting into our Commissioning Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely advice to front line engineers who are actively trying to commission electric meters, gas meters and in-home displays at domestic properties.

You’ll receive and record all communication from Engineers and deal directly with requests & escalate problems in accordance with established procedures, whilst providing advice and support to fix commissioning-based issues as they arise to both engineers & clients. Commissioning is a vital service that ensures domestic customers can fully receive the benefit of a Smart Meter that is connected to the DCC, allowing greater insight into energy consumption and becoming more efficient with energy usage at home. 

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Using a bespoke Commissioning Centre platform to check the current live status of Smart Meter Commissioning taking place in the field. 
  • Multi-tasking and moving between Commissioning Centre and other essential software and phone, to liaise directly with the field engineers to offer process driven advice. 
  • Performance tracking and monitoring, using excel, google sheets and other similar data software to record trends and performance behaviors. 
  • Attending weekly / bi-weekly and monthly calls with Suppliers to discuss commissioning performance. 
  • Using mobi-control software to watch live tablet based commissioning and offer process based guidance to achieve a successful asset commission.
 

Skills and Qualifications

With a background in first line support, you will be confident in the use of multiple programmes working in parallel with each other in order to deliver expert advice to our engineers. You’ll be able to think laterally around commissioning error guidance to assist meter workers in connecting smart meters to the DCC (Don’t worry, training will be provided!)
