About The Role
 

A bit about the role… 

Reporting to our Senior HR Business Partner Morrison Data Services are recruiting an experienced Regional HR Advisor based within the South east, covering areas such as Peterborough, Milton Keynes and Cambridge. This is a regional based role, looking after a large field workforce (both perm and agency) 

This is a fast paced role, and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running to support our local line managers and field force in all areas of ER advice and guidance. This is a unionised environment, so Union experience is essential. We also have a number of TUPE groups, so experience of multiple collective agreements/terms would be beneficial. 

We’re looking for someone who has experience in an environment that is going through change, and has the resilience & competence to deliver an excellent people service and experience whilst helping us implement change. We’re working on delivering a new HR system, updated policies, management training and incoming TUPE’s, alongside our day to day work

This role will have varying levels of travel, so this should be expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing accurate legal, policy and procedural information, advice and guidance to our Line Management and employees to ensure risk is mitigated, and the best performance is achieved for the company as a whole
  • Collate key HR information, including the monitoring of HR related key performance indicators to ensure the team is clearly adding value
  • Be a change leader, and support our management team to deliver key messages, lead change across their area and support any change management plans.
  • Advising on ER policy and procedures, such as disciplinary and grievance, absence management, performance capability, reviewing and facilitating documentation, attending hearings and mitigating risk
  • Liaising with Occupational Health specialists, trade unions and management to coordinate employees’ effective return to work or management of capability process.
  • Keeping up to date on best practice
  • Supporting with any management or leadership development plans, identifying any trend analysis and working with the team to develop coaching plans.
  • Supporting and facilitating any TUPE process as and when required, including consultation with incoming and outgoing Employers, Employees and Trade Unions; ensuring that best practice and all legal obligations are met.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our management team, trade union representatives and our people

What you’ll bring to the role… 

  • Experience as an HR professional in a busy, dynamic environment 
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • IT and excel competencies 
  • Full UK driving licence
