About The Role

A bit about the role...

We have an exciting Team Leader opportunity based in and around Maidstone. You will lead and develop a field based team to provide an outstanding level of performance against KPI targets.  You will coach and motivate the team to achieve the standards set for Customer Services, whilst ensuring all operational quality and Health & Safety performance targets are met and maintained. Computer literacy is essential for this role.

You will need drive and determination to manage your team’s performance to ensure that customers are billed accurately on their water usage and the contract KPI’s are met. You will need to deliver these stretching targets whilst ensuring Meter Readers operate in a safe and secure environment.

You will provide technical support guidance and advice to effectively resolve customer issues and escalations, managing them to a satisfactory resolution and identifying improvements where there are opportunities to do so.

Pro-actively managing resource and individual performance you will also draft and implement training and development plans for team members to improve service levels and will support this process by carrying out regular field observations and coaching sessions.

What you will bring to the role...

  • Significant experience working within a Customer Services environment, with a supervisory emphasis gained in a customer-facing role together with a proven track record of coaching, training and developing others
  • A strong commitment to achieving successful outcomes, delivering results to the satisfaction of customers and to the standards required
  • Awareness of business planning processes.
  • Communication, Influencing and Negotiating skills.
  • People and process management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to set targets and assess against them.
  • Awareness / experience of managing Health and Safety issues for field-based employees. This is a critical part of the role but training will be provide
  • Sound presentation and delivery skills
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
